The MADAME ROSE PALMAI-TENSER DEVELOPING ARTIST PROGRAM is one of the ways Mobile Opera fulfills its mission to promote the growth and development of young talent in the performing arts. The program includes: The Katherine Willson Voice Scholarship Program and The Madame Rose Vocal Scholarship Competition.

The Katherine Willson Voice Scholarship Program is for students selected from area colleges and universities. These students participate in main stage productions, education and outreach programs and act as musical ambassadors for Mobile Opera. Young Artists work with internationally recognized soloists, directors, designers and conductors.
Madame Rose Vocal Scholarship Competition
The Madame Rose Palmai-Tenser Scholarship Competition is a voice competition for young singers. It is currently limited to eligible individuals in the southeastern states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
