Mobile Opera guarantees you and your special someone the most romantic Valentine’s Day imaginable with a lavish concert of music for lovers. Mobile’s Saenger Theatre is the setting as our tribute to Landmark American Musicals continues with an evening of selections from the best works by the luminary team of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. Jerome Shannon leads a quartet of talented soloists, including debut artist Laura Choi Stuart and baritone Corey McKern (Danilo in last season’s The Merry Widow), the Mobile Opera Chorus and the Mobile Symphony in a program of your favorite excerpts from Carousel, Sound of Music, The King & I, State Fair, Oklahoma, and South Pacific. One performance only on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2008 in the Mobile Saenger Theatre at 7:30 PM.
