Opera performed in the original German language. Richard Wagner's The Flying Dutchman is one of opera's most celebrated romantic stories. Considered one of the most controversial composers in the history of music, Wagner gives us an evening of ultra Germanic romance. Only allowed on land once every seven years, The Dutchman seeks love through redemption. If he can fi nd a woman to love him then his curse will be broken. Dramatic baritone Douglas Nagel sings the title role. Patrick Jacobs returns to sing the role of Daland and Amanda Mace, Bayreuth Festival star, sings Senta.
