A Brief Overview

Founded in 1953, The Mobile Opera Guild has supported Mobile Opera in its mission to provide professional opera and musical theater for the pleasure and cultural enrichment of audiences on the Gulf Coast and to provide educational and performing opportunities for young people and adults in this area.

The Guild helps meet numerous Mobile Opera needs through its efforts in public relations, fundraising, and special events. Guild volunteers are dedicated to building support for the company, and to this end they provide many unpaid services which allow Mobile Opera to devote its financial resources to its artistic goals. The Guild's activities in support of Mobile Opera would not be possible without the generous contributions of its members' time and varied talents.
