Jealousy and suspicion highlight each of these operas but the twist of fate is comedy in two and tragedy in the other. We are pleased to offer three staged operas this year. The Barber of Seville and Il Tabarro will be in the intimate setting of The Temple Downtown that continues to thrill our audiences. The third opera is under the umbrella of our Winter Gala Concert but will also be fully staged this year at Murphy High School Auditorium. Mobile Opera, founded in 1946, made its public debut with Il Segreto di Susanna in Murphy High School auditorium. The stage direction was by our founder, Madame Rose Palmai Tenser. Mobile Opera is proud to offer the reprise of the original production in the original home of the company.
